I actually agree with you AJ,

If I had my druthers, Boozer would be dumped on some average team for a second round pick and we could just take his money off the books. I would be fine with that. It is basically the same as having him opt out, which would have been fine.

I think most Jazz fans just want something for him now. If we can get some cap space relief and a replacement, that would be for the best. But I agree, that teams might want Boozer, but they probably don't feel like they need to give up much to get him. Worst case scenario, they could just wait for him next offseason. Carlos' greed (the $12.6 million) forced him to opt in, even though he wants to play for someone else.

As a non-Jazz fan, the one thing I do not understand is why the trade bar is so high for Boozer amongst most Jazz fans. Wasn't everyone disappointed when he opted in? Wasn't the ideal solution that he would have gone to FA? If that is the case, why are expectation now that you could get 1-2 very solid players for him? Maybe what I am missing is that the Jazz are happy to live well into the luxury tax for quite some time.

I get fed up as well with all the hype and garbage people throw around on all the different boards. I hate the TT trade! Haslem is never going to enjoy playing outside his beloved state of Florida.
I wish we still had the option to hang onto Booz until the deadline, but I don't think there is any mending fences. The sad truth is the Jazz are giving up way more then they are receiving in trading Boozer. We pulled our pants down and showed exactly what we've got way too soon!

If we could somehow make the Battier/Landry deal work I would shed a joyous tear!

I agree that Boozer needs to keep his mouth shut. He is doing nothing but hurting his trade value and opportunity to be traded, especially to one of "his" teams. If Booz didn't want to play for the Jazz, he had every opportunity to leave them by opting out. He chose to opt in and now is trying to force a trade. Low Booz. I'm sure Cavs fans are sitting back and laughing at us.

I disagree however that the Jazz need to keep him around for the beginning of the season in order to boost his value. Sure his value may increase, but he will only be a distraction to the players, media, and the fans. He would much rather have a 24 and 15 night and lose, than have a 15 and 7 night and win. He will be all about himself and his numbers this season and it will hurt the locker room and team chemistry. Word has it that several players at locker clean out blamed Boozer for the chemistry problems that ended the season. Time to move on from Boozer. And I think it needs to happen before training camp.
